Nuvistix BioProjects is a business unit of Nuvistix Innovation, established by Dr Alan Baylis in 2004. Since then, Nuvistix has covered a wide range of projects for clients with various interests in agriculture from global corporations to farmers. These clients have all wanted:
Previously, Alan worked for Syngenta (formerly Zeneca and ICI) as an international R&D project manager at Jealott's Hill International Research Centre. He led project teams with members from around the world testing new products, developing technical services and supporting sales and marketing. His areas of technical expertise include herbicides, adjuvants, plant growth regulators, fertilizers and crop physiology and agronomy. Alan comes from a UK farming background, having spent a number of years as a hands-on farmer. Alan has a PhD in crop physiology and a BSc in Crop Science from the University of Leeds, and an MBA from Henley Business School. Alan is currently Chairman of SCI's BioResources Group. This is a community of university academics and researchers, and industrialists concerned with all aspects of crop production, crop protection and crop utilisation for any purpose. The group organises regular conferences and provides opportunities for extensive networking.
